Mentoring to maximise the potential of your current workforce
Does your organisation maximise the potential of its current workforce?
An effective mentoring programme for your leaders can make all the difference.
The benefits and features of a mentoring programme by Graduate Solutions include:
- Mentoring – nurture and maximise each individual’s potential
- Accelerating development of individuals and teams
- Enhancing performance of the individual and the organisation
- Helps people to think out of the box and to challenge current boundaries
- Supports the development of effective collaboration
- Supports diversity
- Facilitates effective delegation
- Enables top management to ensure that the future leaders can develop all the skills which will be necessary to be cutting edge for the future
Those organisations which are able to equip their best people with
the necessary skills to embrace changes at a pace which have never
been seen before are those which will continue to thrive.
Ensure yours is at the cutting edge!
It makes good economic sense to maximise the potential of your people. Mentoring and nurturing talent has huge potential benefits to your organisation and to the individuals concerned.
Work with the talent which exists within your organisation
Given the enormous cost of recruiting and inducting new middle and senior managers it makes perfect sense to work with the talent which exists within your organisation.
Research undertaken by The Harvard Business Review shows
that:
- 33% of employees are planning to leave their current employer at any one time.
- 39% of employees reported that they felt trapped in their current job.
What is the cost to your organisation of good people focussing on the next stage of their career – elsewhere, rather than being entirely focussed on your agenda?
Being busy simply isn’t enough.
In a recent Gallup Poll:
- Over 60% of employees reported that they were unclear about what was actually expected of them in their current role.
- Over 80% reported that their talents were being under utilised.
- Over 66% of newly appointed people became disappointed and disillusioned within the first year of appointment.
If staff do not feel valued and start to become bored, they will loose motivation, focus and momentum. What a waste of potential!
